Sherlock Holmes

I am a big fan of Robert Downey Jr. and the Sherlock Holmes movies so this poster was very appealing to me. I thought it was really cool how the smoke forms a face.

I love the colors used on the poster. I have always like the 70's look, and the first thing I thought of when I saw this was That 70's Show.

This poster really speaks for itself. This is a poster for the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. Each of the National Museum's logos are displaying a different view of Modern and Contemporary Art.

America

I found this image in Adbusters magazine. This image portrays a very strong message. This is the American flag. When a lot of people think of America, they don't think of the 50 states, they think of some of these 50 brands. These are beginning to represent America.

Heinz Baked Beans

I found this image in Adbusters magazine. I love all the details even though its in black and white. The different use of sans serif and serif fonts is also interesting.

Bilbey Bird

I found this image in Computer Arts magazine. This is an illustration by Ian Bilbey. This was designed for the Paul Smith Display Awards. It was used for certificates for the Japaneses branch of the company's shop display awards. I enjoy the use of bright colors.

Zoobilation

 

I found these images in Communication Arts. They were included in a series created for Seneca Park Zoo's Zoobilation fundraiser. They caught my eye because they are playful and fun.
